How to Avoid Decision Fatigue When Wedding Planning

1 min read

Struggling with decision fatigue? Planning your wedding doesn't have to be overwhelming. Let's break it down:

  1. Spend time identifying your overall vision and priorities before you dive into the nitty gritty of wedding planning. Let that be your guide throughout the entire process. As each new element or decision comes up, you can ask yourself whether it supports the vision or is one of your priorities. If not - next!

  2. Spread out the decision making! Focus on only a few wedding tasks at a time. Of course a long list is going to be overwhelming - you do not have to choose everything at once.

  3. If you are struggling to make a decision, ask for an opinion from someone with experience - either a wedding industry professional, or a trusted friend who recently got married.

  4. Try not to drive yourself crazy overthinking. Trust your gut, do your research, and once you've made a decision, move on! Especially during the final months of planning, I often tell my couples: if it's not an immediate yes, it's a no.
